Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds
that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight
on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the
morning's hush
I am the soft uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft star that
shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there.
I did not die.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.




If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.

Rest assured that in her dying, in her flight through darkness toward a new light,
she held you in her arms
and carried your closeness with her.
And when she arrived at God,
your image was imprinted on her
joy-filled soul.
